About this video
CGI short, made in Blender, presenting my rendition of the legendary Alpine A110. This project was made as a part of my bachelor’s thesis in digital design. My main goal was to push myself; I ventured into multiple workflows, spanning hard surface modelling, animation, compositing, or sound design. As for the theme of the video, I always loved automotive design, and projects like Make Haste corp., Singer Vehicle design, or Oilstainlab’s Half11 really inspire me. So I decided to try and make my own spin on one of my favorite cars, Alpine A110. While showcasing my take on this legendary car, I also wanted to pay tribute to its deep-rooted rally legacy. I’ve built the short on the contrast of the dynamic machine, fighting its way through cold and indifferent mountain enviroment. I hope you like the result as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
