About this video
Each episode focuses on a style or set of tools we want to add to our studio repertoire. For JUMP 1.0, our goal was to merge 3D and 2D animation to achieve a new and visually exciting result. We introduced Leaf, a young person who has found a helmet and pair of shoes that give her the power to leap between universes. Each ‘jump’ takes us to a new world with its own style of design and animation as Leaf learns more about their powers. This year, we released JUMP 2.0. In this episode, our hero Leaf takes a pause to refuel for the next 'jump' to another world. The goal for JUMP 2.0 was to road test an Unreal engine pipeline, as well as try out Move AI software for motion capture data. Both tests were a success!
